Finally...

well it seems that i finally have time to actually write a decent blog. it's only been a week in school yet it's already getting tiring. i like most of my classes, the teachers are nice and funny.

well i guess i'll start things off with an interesting article that i found. it's short so for those of you who don't like to read outside of school, this won't cause too much pain.

air travel sure is getting ridiculous...no sleeping?

so i have been complaining, well mostly to myself, that i am totally drained of money. many would ask, "why? dont you have a job?" well those who are well informed or those who actually care would know that the dragon boat team went on two trips this summer. and just for the record lemme state this first before y'all start wondering...no i didn't win a medal.

so our first trip was comprised of the top two boats at lowell and we took it up to Vancouver. our A boat took 3rd place in the juniors final A division. our A' boat took 7th place in the juniors final A division.each division comprised of 8 boats and there were 4 junior divisions...i think...so i think we did very well and i certainly learned a lot on the trip. unfortunately my battery died out on the last day of racing so i wasnt able to get a group picture of the team but that doesnt mean i dont have pictures. so here are 3.

well our next trip was a collaboration between lowell and lincoln. the trip was the IDBF world club crew championships in toronto. the competition was SO fierce up there. we were with the greatest of the greats. all the teams were so fired up and there for so many teams from all around the world. it was such an exciting experience. many people learned a lot from the trip. the girls crew won a medal in the 2000m race because 2 of the teams got DQed. well a medal is a medal and congrats to them. the guys didnt die without a fight though. i ate so much on the trip, i was out of shape when i got back.

on a side note, if those who have seen the left side of my face, you will notice 2 scars. well i got those scars in Toronto. how i got them i will not say. when i told Cindy i got my cuts, she jokingly said, "you paid to get hurt in toronto." i knew she meant well. thanks to all the people who cared about my injury and special thanks to Cindy for caring even more! anyways, team picture and thats all folks.
