Cool Beans!

I thought I would come back with a post that I'm sure most of you will be familiar with. I love new technology, I simply adore it. I think that the iPhone is UBER COOL! Just watching the keynote speech introducing the iPhone has me going crazy for it. Well i guess that this only means one thing...it's time to start saving for a new phone! I'm really lucky that the iPhone is coming out around the time that my contract with Verizon expires!

But enough of me talking about it...Go check it out for yourself!

It's News to Me...

I tend to be slow to get information so don't flame me if you already know this tidbit of information. So it seems that the times for the spirit rallies this year have been shifted.

what used to be 14/15 -> Reg. (or homeroom as rumors say) -> Rally -> 16/17
has now become 9/10 -> Reg. -> Rally -> 11/12.

Now i dunno if this is REALLY going to happen but im just going off news from the lowell website here.

Finally...

well it seems that i finally have time to actually write a decent blog. it's only been a week in school yet it's already getting tiring. i like most of my classes, the teachers are nice and funny.

well i guess i'll start things off with an interesting article that i found. it's short so for those of you who don't like to read outside of school, this won't cause too much pain.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060901/od_nm/bulgaria_plane_dc
air travel sure is getting ridiculous...no sleeping?

so i have been complaining, well mostly to myself, that i am totally drained of money. many would ask, "why? dont you have a job?" well those who are well informed or those who actually care would know that the dragon boat team went on two trips this summer. and just for the record lemme state this first before y'all start wondering...no i didn't win a medal.

so our first trip was comprised of the top two boats at lowell and we took it up to Vancouver. our A boat took 3rd place in the juniors final A division. our A' boat took 7th place in the juniors final A division.each division comprised of 8 boats and there were 4 junior divisions...i think...so i think we did very well and i certainly learned a lot on the trip. unfortunately my battery died out on the last day of racing so i wasnt able to get a group picture of the team but that doesnt mean i dont have pictures. so here are 3.

well our next trip was a collaboration between lowell and lincoln. the trip was the IDBF world club crew championships in toronto. the competition was SO fierce up there. we were with the greatest of the greats. all the teams were so fired up and there for so many teams from all around the world. it was such an exciting experience. many people learned a lot from the trip. the girls crew won a medal in the 2000m race because 2 of the teams got DQed. well a medal is a medal and congrats to them. the guys didnt die without a fight though. i ate so much on the trip, i was out of shape when i got back.

on a side note, if those who have seen the left side of my face, you will notice 2 scars. well i got those scars in Toronto. how i got them i will not say. when i told Cindy i got my cuts, she jokingly said, "you paid to get hurt in toronto." i knew she meant well. thanks to all the people who cared about my injury and special thanks to Cindy for caring even more! anyways, team picture and thats all folks.

I HATE IT ALL!!!

i have to quickly blog this before i forget all the crap i have to write about. (taking time away from HW!)

so today was the first day of school. it sucked from the begining to the end.

Before school:
traffic sucked! Ocean ave was backed up the whole way! what is normally a 20 minute drive turned out to be a 30 minute drive. althought parking made it marginally better. (anger level: 4)

Reg:
reg wasnt that bad, it was alright. its just the same as usual although we get a different room. it's a pretty nice room in the science building. the only reason why my anger hasn't died down is that the cut off the second part of my name! (anger level: 4)

1/2/3 Chinese
i had/have mixed reactions from this class. the thing i hate the most are all of the people who have taken another language and who are so freakin' fluent MANDARIN (not cantonese) that they think that "oh i can get an easy A in this class because i'm SOOOOOO good in chinese and IT'S AP". if it's so easy, i have an idea for all of you... TAKE THE AP TEST WITHOUT, YES WITHOUT, TAKING THE CLASS! jeez i feel so stupid in the class! back to the basics for me. even though Ms. Chang let us out early, it still didnt ease the mood. (anger level 6)

4/5 Comp Prog.
i think the class could get interesting. i kinda felt sick during class and i wasnt able to log on to my own username at lowell which made it very frustrating. (anger level: 6)

6/7/8 AP Econ
i dont like the seat i got. nuff said. class was funny yes. annoying girl up front...won't even go there. now that i realize it...its the only frickin' class where no one said anything to me! oh well the class got me hella pissed off. (anger level: 7)

so yes i was quite angry after class, so angry that i didnt realize that i spent mod 8 in class (like DUH!!). so without knowing i stormed off to put my book in my trunk, only to realize on the way back that i was late for class. (anger level: 8)

8/9/10 Physics
with the exception for being late the class was actually quite nice. nothing too challenging and a nice new teacher too. i dont think that i know anyone in that class but of well, the table i was left with left me with good company. (anger level: 5)

11/12 Comedy and Satire
this was an ok class too. cant get too mad about the class. i have a feeling the the class might get interesting. as with all english classes, i dont do that well so i might hit trouble later on down the road... oh and it was nice that Ms Carney remembered me from freshman year! very nice teacher. (anger level: 2)

Lunch: i didnt do anything during lunch. i couldn't find anyone during lunch so i said forget it and started to wander for almost an hour. i found things to keep me busy. i helped Ms. Chang for a bit and got something nice for it. (anger level: 2)

16/17/18 Pre-Cal
the class was fine, although i felt stupid when trying to solve the easy problems on the board. i kept looking at it saying..."WTF" but oh well. nothing too troublesome in that class. (anger level: 2.5)

afterschool i got pissed, first i couldnt get a parking form from the Dean's office. then i realized that applications for work already went out and the deadline supposidly passed! well, i guess im out of a job! 2.5 years and i went out with nothing more than a fizzle! (anger level: 8.5)

what a day...what a day indeed...

First Real Post...Well, Kinda...

Well, i think first a disclaimer, the content of this blog may not be for everyone's taste and may very well be boring to most, but a blog is a blog so read at your own discretion.

So here's my post. its been 2 years, 2 YEARS, since i've made my computer. A few days ago i just finished doing the biggest overhaul to my computer. It's still not a top of the line gaming rig but it will hold me over for the next two years. ;] The major changes in version 2.03 of my computer is the following: (bear in mind that this is a lot of computer mumbo-jumbo)

Processor upgrade from a 2.0 GHz AMD Athlon 64 3000+ to a 2.4 GHz AMD Athlon 64 3400+ (this is still the older version)
RAM was upgraded from 1 GB (2x 512MB) of RAM to 2 GB of RAM (2x 1GB)
and i also finally got a DVD burner, yeah kinda late on the band wagon but hey, it was cheap

Finished and in place and glowing...
